FAQ

Frequently asked questions about EH737 Infusion Pump

Answers to common questions about product selection, use, and support.

Which infusion modes does the EH-737 support, and how is the body weight mode used?
There are four modes: Rate-Volume (ml/h), Time-Volume (timed and quantified), Drop Rate-Volume (drops/min), and Body Weight mode. In Body Weight mode, enter the patient's weight (1 - 300 kg) together with the drug amount and dose parameters, and the device automatically converts them into a flow rate in mg/kg/h (dose settable from 0.01 - 999.99 mg/kg/h). It is suitable for scenarios requiring precise weight-based dosing, such as pediatrics, ICU, and anesthesiology.
What pumping technology does this pump use, and what advantages does it offer over a roller pump?
It uses a semi-squeeze finger-type peristaltic pump combined with low-pulsation compensation technology. Compared with a roller pump, it squeezes the tubing more gently, so the IV set retains its elasticity during prolonged operation. The drop rate is uniform and the flow rate accuracy remains within ±5% (1.0 - 1200.0 ml/h), while mechanical damage to nutrients and special drug components is reduced.
Why are occlusion alarms divided into upstream and downstream, and is the sensitivity adjustable?
The device uses independent pressure detection on the upstream and downstream lines: the upstream detects occlusion above the line (-20 - -60 kPa negative pressure), and the downstream detects occlusion below the line (20 - 140 kPa positive pressure). Each has 5 adjustable sensitivity levels, corresponding respectively to blockage at the drug end and at the patient end, giving more precise alarm localization. If alarms occur frequently, first check for kinked tubing or a blocked needle, then adjust the sensitivity level.
How many levels does the air-in-line alarm sensitivity have, and what safety protection does the sensor provide?
The air-in-line alarm sensitivity is adjustable in 3 levels, selectable according to the nature of the drug and clinical needs. The air sensor has a self-test function; if the sensor itself fails, an alarm is triggered automatically to alert medical staff in time, preventing missed detection caused by sensor failure and ensuring infusion safety.
How long can the battery work after power failure, and what type of battery is it?
It has a built-in rechargeable NiMH battery and is powered by 100 - 240 V, 50/60 Hz mains power. When mains power is interrupted, it automatically switches to battery power. The actual runtime depends on the set flow rate and usage conditions; the device power consumption is ≤20 VA. Low battery and battery failure each have independent audible and visual alarms, so it can be used with confidence during transport and similar scenarios.
How many records can the history store, and what is recorded?
The SOE function can record the most recent 1000 infusion events, including infusion start/stop time, set flow rate, and stop reason, supporting retrospective verification. It also provides calibration memory and parameter memory, automatically saving tubing calibration data and the previous infusion parameters for direct recall at the next startup.
