FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Multi-Parameter Monitor M8

Answers to common questions about product selection, use, and support.

Why is the M8 suitable for transport and vehicle use?
The M8 main unit is compact, lightweight and shock-resistant, and comes with a vehicle mounting device for the monitor for easy detachment and use. It adapts easily to field, vehicle, mobile transport, bed-mounted and other complex situations; with its built-in power supply design, vital sign monitoring is not interrupted during transport.
What is seven-lead simultaneous ECG display?
With a 5-lead configuration, the device supports displaying 7-lead ECG waveforms on the same screen, so medical staff can obtain more lead information on one screen without changing the lead cable, facilitating comparative analysis.
What is low-perfusion index monitoring for?
The M8 features newly upgraded low-perfusion index monitoring, which comprehensively monitors the perfusion index (PI), reflecting pulsatile blood flow and perfusion capability. Measurements are more accurate in patients with poor peripheral circulation, weak perfusion or finger movement, and it effectively reflects the functional status of peripheral circulation.
Is NIBP measurement accurate in harsh environments?
The M8 uses dual NIBP overpressure protection, temperature drift control and other technical measures to reduce risk, ensuring measurement accuracy in harsh environments while safeguarding patient safety and preventing hazards caused by single faults.
Does it have ECG waveform playback and automatic analysis functions?
Yes. The device provides five-minute ECG waveform playback, automatic ST-segment detection, arrhythmia analysis, drug concentration calculation, respiration-oxygenation diagram and other functions, facilitating rapid assessment of arrhythmia and myocardial ischemia changes.
How is the interference resistance in environments such as operating rooms and ambulances?
The M8 uses a fully isolated floating ground, defibrillation-proof ECG protection, resistance to high-frequency electrosurgical and myoelectric interference, and digital filtering. It meets the requirements of harsh environments such as operating rooms, wards, emergency departments and ambulance transport, with no special restrictions on the use environment.
Can EtCO2 be configured as an option on the M8?
No. As stated in the registration certificate, end-tidal carbon dioxide monitoring applies to the cPMX1~cPMX3, ePMX1~ePMX5, M1, M3 and M5 models; the intended use of the M6 and M8 models is non-invasive blood pressure, ECG, heart rate, respiration rate, SpO2, pulse rate and temperature, and their structural composition does not include an EtCO2 module or printer. If EtCO2 monitoring is required, models such as the M3 or ePMX5 in the same series are recommended.
Can monitoring data be viewed remotely?
Yes. The M8 has remote communication capability, with optional HDMI high-definition output, wireless Wi-Fi or wired network information monitoring functions; with optional remote hardware, a patient's physiological parameters, images and video can be viewed remotely, allowing the receiving hospital to prepare equipment and personnel in advance and ensuring timely rescue.
What accessories are included in the standard configuration?
The standard configuration includes the main unit, ECG lead cable, NIBP cuff, temperature sensor and SpO2 sensor; as stated in the registration certificate, this model does not include end-tidal carbon dioxide or printer configuration, and other accessories can be configured separately as needed.
How are product certification and after-sales service guaranteed?
The Multi-Parameter Monitor M8 is a Class II Medical Device with Registration Certificate No. 粤械注准20252071314; the registrant is Shenzhen Arikon Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., supplied by Olsmed Medical. Registration certificates and qualification documents required for hospital tenders and procurement can be obtained from Olsmed Medical, which also provides full lifecycle service including installation training, repair and maintenance, and spare parts supply.
